This romantic and secluded mountain cabin is located in Captain Cook, Hawaii, close to Kealakekua Bay, and can accommodate up to three guests. There is one attractive bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom, located in the loft area, has a queen-size bed, with a memory foam mattress, for added comfort. The sofa in the lounge converts into a cozy double bed, for an additional guest. There is also a baby’s crib in the cabin, providing sleeping space for miniature glampers. In the bright and modern bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a walk-in shower. Freshly-laundered linens and towels are provided by the host.

In the light and spacious living room, guests will find plenty of comfy seating space, with a sofa and two armchairs. For entertainment, there’s a television, a DVD player, a CD player, and a selection of books, music, and movies. The pretty and functional kitchen comes equipped with a fridge, a freezer, an oven, a stove, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a toaster, as well as an array of handy dishes and utensils. Upon arrival, guests will be delighted to discover fresh farm eggs, homemade bread, a fruit basket, Kona coffee, and other goodies, which have been thoughtfully provided by the host. Meals and drinks can be enjoyed at the dining table, which is in the lounge area. Other amenities in the cabin include Wi-Fi access, a washer and dryer, an iron and board, a hairdryer, and a heater.

Outside, there is a lawn, with a hammock, on which guests can sunbathe and relax. A Polynesian gazebo covers a redwood decking area, providing a shaded place to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. In addition, glampers can enjoy the use of a charcoal grill, offering them the option to dine al fresco.

Some superb facilities are on offer at this gorgeous property. Those traveling by car will be pleased to know that there is space to park right next to the cabin. The outside space is stunning, with a lawn, a redwood deck, and a Polynesian gazebo, where guests will find delightful and comfy furniture, a hammock, and a charcoal grill.

Inside, there are many comforts of home, such as a heater, for chilly evenings, a TV, with a DVD player, and a CD player. A selection of books, music, and movies are provided for guests' entertainment. Glampers who need to stay connected can make use of the free Wi-Fi access that's available throughout the cabin. There is even a handy washer and a dryer at the property, for laundering clothes, along with an iron and board.

There are many great activities close by for guests to enjoy. On the property, there is the opportunity to play table tennis, as the host is a competitive player, and offers the use of his ping pong table, and his expertize free of charge. From the cabin, there is a path that will lead guests on a gentle stroll through the coffee fields, where they'll be able to spot natural Hawaiian flora.

In nearby Kealakekua Bay, water-based activities are the specialty. There are kayaking and paddle boarding classes, many places to rent gear, and boat tours, which will take glampers snorkeling, scuba diving, and dolphin watching. It's also possible to rent a jet ski, which is ideal for guests who are looking for thrills and excitement. Keen fishermen can take a chartered trip, and try their hand at reeling in giant blue marlin, yellowfin tuna, and snapper, among many other types of fish.

Only a few miles from the cabin, guests can discover the rich history of the region, at the Kona Coffee Living History Farm. The museum tells the story of Kona’s coffee pioneers during the early 20th century. In a self-guided experience, glampers will be free to walk among the coffee trees and visit the original 1920s farmhouse. Costumed interpreters will be on hand to demonstrate traditional crafts, agricultural activities, and the everyday tasks of people from the past.

A must-see attraction for any visitor to this region has to be Captain Cook's Monument, within the Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park. This was the site of the first extensive contact between Hawaiians and Westerners with the arrival of Captain Cook in 1779. The park has facilities for picnics, and is a great place to spot local wildlife. In addition, it's a haven for snorkeling, with its calm, clear waters.

One of the most popular local pastimes in all of Hawaii is surfing. There are many great places to surf within easy reach of the property. Guests with previous experience can hire boards and other gear from one of the many local outfitters. Beginners will be able to attend a local surf school, to take part in this exhilarating sport.

Fans of shopping and dining will be spoiled for choice in this area, as there is a great selection of unique stores, cafes, and restaurants, offering delightful local goods and produce, with something to suit every taste and budget. One of the finest restaurants in West Hawaii, Keei Café, is less than 15 minutes away from the property and specializes in top-quality, delicious seafood, and inventive American cuisine.
