Guests can visit the incredible Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where they can see the famous Kilauea Volcano and periodic lava flows only about an hour away. There are several tropical forests and jungles in the surrounding areas. Whether guests would like to take a beautiful drive on highway 137 or stop to hike and explore, Malama-Ki Forest Reserve is located only ten minutes away from the cottage and is definitely a must see.
Guests can visit Ahalanui Park which is a 20-minute drive from the cottage. Here, guests can spend the day swimming and picnicking with the locals around a beautiful natural hot spring. Another great place to spend the day is at Pohoiki Bay and hot spring, only 15 minutes from the property guests can swim, fish, and snorkel.
To enjoy live Hawaiian music and great food, guests can visit Uncles Awa Bar and Farmers Market less than ten minutes down the road.

From going out to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and exploring active volcanoes to whale and dolphin watching from their private lanai, guests will never have a dull moment staying at this beautiful oceanfront cottage. Guests may even have the chance to swim with the wild dolphins right across the street at Kehena Beach. All along the coast, there are amazing views for taking photographs and walking along the beaches.
Guests can head over to the Kapoho Tide Pools or the Pohoiki Warm Spring to snorkel and explore the reefs and observe all of the beautiful fish that are natural to the breathtaking Hawaiian coast. Surfers, swimmers, fishers and boating enthusiasts will all love Isaac Hale Beach Park where the diverse waters allow for all of these water activities to be enjoyed.
Guests can hike the 4-mile Kilauea’iki Trail at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This trail has a medium difficulty level and leads guests through the lush Ohia forest, down into the Kilauea’iki crater and past the steaming vents in the cracked crater floor.
For any guests who love yoga, the cottage is located between two incredible yoga studios. Ramashala is a one minute walk from the front door on one side and the Bali House is also less than a minute on the other side.
