Glampers can enjoy a beautiful vintage 1950's Airstream, privacy, dazzling 360 degree views, and unmatched hospitality. This unique glampsite in Chatsworth, California is nestled on a cliff overlooking West San Fernando Valley and is for only one group of guests. Feel welcomed to this hideaway by your experienced hosts Julia and Michael, they offer all you need for an unforgettable stay-cation or highlight of your travels. Suitable for 5 guests in summer, 3 guests winter. This choice is not suitable for children under 10 or pets, and you must have a car.
Retreat to your dreams on a sandstone mesa, with spectacular and dramatic views of valley, city and mountains. Nature, huge sandstone boulders and open sky will surround you. The sensual nature of the site sets us far apart from the crowd. The sparkling city lights and glowing cliffs above provide a truly magical night time setting.
Our guests favorite is "The Immortal Goddess Spa" an outdoor open air yet very private 2 person Jacuzzi tub experience. It is beautifully designed using Asian artistic vintage items by your host and is available all year. They rave about the shady gazebo with its romantic canopied double bed, which is available for sleeping May 1 to November 1, (lounging all year, weather permitting).
Amenities include free parking, A/C, heat, a 24" smart Tv and Wifi wireless cell reception. Although we have hosted digital nomads with no problems, the internet experience may not include what you expect or are accustomed to. So come, enjoy, and unplug.
Outdoor living at its best! Comfortable patio furniture includes chaises, dining table and shade umbrellas to keep you happily outside day and night. The scenic cliff-top patio is perfect for enjoying a nap, serene morning tea or coffee, happy hour, sunset viewing, meditation or yoga. Get lost in the pages of a riveting novel while nature provides a soothing soundtrack. Set the table al fresco using our vintage dinnerware after cooking your meal inside the trailer.
Inside the 24' vintage trailer, there is a cozy living area where glampers can prepare a delicious meal in the equipped kitchen, a dining area, observation lounge, and library. The private sleeping cabin has a double bed and high-end linen. The kitchen has a 3 burner gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, pots, pans, glassware, flatware and dinnerware. A long list of kitchen item, food and drink extras, extra blankets, extra towels and bath products are all provided. The only bathroom inside the larger trailer has a shower, a real toilet, a sink, and a large cupboard.
Additionally, there is a 13' smaller vintage trailer that is perfect for a dressing room or writing studio. The small trailer has a singles sleeping berth, as well.
Special inimitable touches await your discovery throughout this vintage trailer experience. They include handmade, one of a kind, custom built furnishings, using recycled, reclaimed and repurposed art and materials. Gypsy has unrivalled mid-century design, riveted aluminum monocoque aircraft construction, beautiful real wood paneling and cabinetry throughout. Our trailers are partially restored and are kept true to their original beauty and function. Dedicated hard work has made it entirely irreplaceable and unforgettable. Enjoy it respectfully as if it were your own Grandmother's treasured hideaway.
There is a private steep paved road with a gate. Gate code access given to guests on arrival. There are wild animals of many kinds and dogs fenced in nearby. Neighbors homes can be seen from our location. This desert environment ( it is So Cal, after all-- expect Summer Heat!!) luxury trailer camping experience is sited at natures doorstep with miles of breathtaking hiking trails to enjoy --tag along with Julia, Bella and Ki-too in the cool morning air.
Nearby: In historic Chatsworth town restaurants, bars and shopping are 15 minutes away. Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood are 1 1/2 hours away. Disneyland is 1 3/4 hours away, Universal City and Malibu beaches are 45 minutes away; all depending on traffic. Stoney Point world class rock climbing is 15 minutes, Magic Mountain 6 Flags and the Reagan Library are 1/2 hour away.
