Guests can come and enjoy this beautiful 2500 square foot getaway with a large deck overlooking Butte Creek to view the salmon. The salmon often come in April and stay till September when they spawn. Guests can watch them swim in the deep pool below or take the steps down to swim with them on hot summer days. Only after they spawn in November can guests fish (catch and release only) for steal head which are bountiful in the area.

Butte Creek Canyon is a treasure with walls, nature, and landscape rivaling a miniature grand canyon. Guests can enjoy viewing the turkeys, osprey, bald eagles, mergansers, otters, deer, and possibly a bear now and then from the deck. Kayaking is great on this creek and the hikes in the area are some of the best (the Flumes, Coal Canyon Falls, Phantom Falls, Center Gap and Feather Falls, and Ishi trail are just a few). Also, guests can enjoy the wonderful downtown of Chico with one of the largest municipal parks in the nation (Bidwell Park) with Sycamore pool, caper acres, and upper park. Also, glampers can enjoy fabulous beer and food at Sierra Nevada brewery and endless activities downtown.

The property itself is seven miles outside of Chico's city center in a secluded and peaceful area along Butte Creek which hosts the largest wild run of Chinook salmon in all of California. From the deck, guests can watch schools of salmon and can make their way down the steps and swim with them as well with masks, snorkels, and tubes on site.
