It was absolutely magical!!! I asked if they could surprise my husband with a happy birthday balloon and they did! The treehouse was just perfect!!!!

The treehouse was clean, beautiful and cozy. The kitchen was better equipped than I thought it was going to be, wished we had cooked more. The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a long drive and a long day at the Boardwalk. We hope to be back!

The description states ok for 4 but we didn't find that two adults and two children was too crowded and sleeping on thin mats on the floor for the kids wasn't comfortable. Remember to bring insect repellant because the mosquito bites were awful. Check in/out directions could have been more clear. The jacuzzi was very dirty and I don't think the filter was changed in years.

This was our second stay in the treehouse-another great time! Last visit we went with kids, this year we just had the 2 of us. Very romantic and peaceful. We're already looking forward to next year!

My husband and I truly enjoyed the entire experience!! Marty and Mary Jane are wonderful..they care and pay great attention to detail. You can see the care they take in setting up for each new guest..it's quite beautiful. They really made us feel at home. If you are looking to get away..relax..and reconnect..then I can't think of a better place to do it. Their friend Randy Beaver built a quite magical place to retreat and reflect. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer..neither of us wanted to leave ;)

My family of four had a wonderful time experiencing the magic of staying in the Tree House. From the hike in to the house to the sun shining on our face when we woke, we had a glorious time. We would recommend it to anyone who can hike a single track and carry their belongings 1/4 mile!!

My daughter and I were looking forward to this trip for months, and it was even better than expected! Turning the bend on the immaculately groomed trail to find the treehouse all lit up was a joy, and going to sleep in the luxurious bed and waking up in the trees was a comfort. So nice to disconnect from the busy world and relax in nature.
Julie Gritzmacher Apr 2016
Absolutely loved this place! Exactly as pictured. It was so relaxing to be surrounded by nature, great place to get some peace and forget your stress. We definitely plan on coming here again!

Perfect escape into the serenity of the forest. Able to unplug, read, and play board games. Did a great walk with great views.

Away from roads, cell reception, and traffic-this place is perfect for a small family with a pet. We arrived at dusk and were worried we wouldn't make it to the cabin before the sun went down. As we hiked in we tried to pick up the pace, but the sun was faster. For a brief moment we couldn't see over the small roll of the path, but once we got to the top a spray of white holiday lights caught our attention and like a beacon of light we say the bridge to the tree house. The delight my daughter expressed was worth the price of admission. It only got better once we crossed over the bridge and into a comfy, welcoming and slightly rustic room with a giant red wood in the center of it all. We finished the evening with a homemade meal (it has stove!) and a dip in the hot tub! Pure holiday!

We absolutely loved our stay and are already planning our next visit! The surrounding area is beautiful and a great place to get into nature and do some hiking. We were excited to see that the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and allowed us to cook all of our meals. We were also excited to see that dogs are allowed to stay as well - we didn't bring our dog this time, but plan on bringing her on our next visit. Overall the weekend was very relaxing and romantic - we had the BEST time! Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to stay, highly recommended.

We had a great time. Very private and the hot tub was relaxing. Bring flashlights and make sure to pack light. It's a 4 min walk to the tree house.

Travel route was hard to find after Rider Road because the Buzzard Lagoon Road sign was missing at 0.4 of a mile and the turn was a "sharp" turn to the right, not a "slight" turn to the right as stated on the directions. After several attempts and the help of the propane delivery man we found Buzzard Lagoon road and continued on our way. Read and follow the directions carefully the rest of the way. I also recommend that you print out the map pages that go with the directions. We did not do that, but looking at a map when we arrived home, I can tell it would have been helpful. Pack a flashlight(s) and if you leave the premises allow plenty of time to make it back or you will have to walk the trail to the treehouse in the dark. We visited Santa Cruz and thought we had enough time to make it back before dark, but I guess roads are busy no matter where between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00p.m. We had been told by Martin, when he greeted us, to make sure we had a flashlight. We used ours. There is one flashlight in the tree house. Martin was helpful and welcoming. When we asked him if he had more movies to watch he gave us more. We appreciated the directory of area activities provided and visited many of them. Enjoy your time in tree house.

Had a WONDERFUL time, but we thought it would be a bit more secluded. Their were two houses within our site but truly a great time ! Will recommend to others. Owner of tree house was a delight.

We absolutely loved staying at the tree house! If only I were closer I would come again.....and again.....and again!
Mary Nickerson Aug 2015
We loved the treehouse! Just one thing to fix. There is no road sign which made the treehouse a little hard to find.
Megan Miller Jul 2015
My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the Tree House. Mary Jane was there to meet us when we arrived, made sure if we needed anything and then left us be to experience a wonderful weekend in the trees. The kitchen had all the essentials, the hot tub was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've been in. We enjoyed the board games and books provided. We loved our time here!

Me and My fiance had a great time. Relaxing by the hot tub and drinking champagne in the tree house is a pretty great way to spend a few days. They aren't really much activities on the grounds so be prepared to read or play board games or what have you. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend it for a nice unique quite get away.
Jeanne Bear Apr 2015
Very appealing place, with a lovely hot tub. Enjoyed our weekend stay, but would like to suggest that the owners add a couple of items for guest's use: wine or champagne glasses (even 2) and a small stool to get onto the high bed. The TV does not work except for watching DVDs, but we had no issue with that. Just a lovely cabin and tree house!
Pam Rodgers Apr 2015
We had an absolutely fantastic time. The treehouse was amazing. The enchanting pathway we walked down to get to it was awesome. Part of the adventure was just driving there and trying to find the darn place. A little better signage would be helpful, but it was fun and we met some of the neighbors on our way. We would definitely recommend it to our friends. Loved it.

This place is really special. A wonderful hike out into the woods. The most romantic getaway ever.

This location is a fantastic treasure! My partner and I took full advantage of the seclusion and were able to completely relax--just lounging in the treehouse all weekend! e-mail instructions (and map) were perfectly detailed and our on-site conversation with Marty (about food recommendations) was a treat! We're planning to return to this magical oasis next year!!!
Adam Mishcon Nov 2014
Wow! Beyond words beautiful and romantic! So well cared for, kitchen, bathroom, gas stove, and a beautiful walk to it through the woods. So nicely isolated in the forrest. Truly special!

Anyone who needs a little escape from the city or just wants a b bit of peace and quiet should consider staying at this treehouse. It is quaint and cozy - perfect for two people, although I went by myself and it was incredible. I felt completely safe and utterly at home. Great kitchen and bathroom, comfy bed, a hot tub, and nothing but the sounds of the beautiful forest around you.

There are plenty of physical or cultural activities available to glampers, such as hiking, biking, or birdwatching in the native forest. Other fun activities include sunbathing, fishing, whale watching, and surfing at some of the best Californian beaches, just 25 minutes away. Golfing is also a popular activity. Enjoy the art, music and cuisine of the Monterey Bay area.
