The second and third bedrooms are furnished with queen size beds. Two more guests can sleep on the queen pull out coach in the "library," (open concept, adjacent to the living room), linens provided. Max of 8 guests. Soak up the pleasure of lounging in the garden and watching the birds and butterflies. Unique Talavera mosaic tiled bathrooms waiting for your arrival. Full kitchen with plenty of small appliances for your wonderful meals: coffee maker, rice cooker, crock pot, blender for your smoothies, food processor, healthy air popcorn maker, waffle iron, cook books. Basic baking essentials have been provided: rice, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pepper. Heated hot tub for your private use just steps from your patio door. Large dining hall seats 8.

Designated parking just for you, plenty of room for 3-4 cars in the long, sloped, paved driveway to your home. The path to the front door is short but does require two steps up to the front door. Hike through the 20 acres of our farm; staying on our paved road, during day light hours or take a good flashlight after sunset and marvel at the night sky when you've familiarized yourself with the roads. The nights here are truly amazing.

The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a rural destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For something on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inn's Cork Fire Kitchen. They have a fireside bar that is quite nice for enjoying a drink and chatting before heading home after a nice meal. For half of the year there's a you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. You'll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested.

Just ask if you have questions about what to see or where to go, there's so much to do in San Diego and nearby Temecula/ Wine Country and the adjacent Fallbrook art community!
Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet Morning Song Farm seems like it's miles away from the city. One exit north you'll find Temecula's wine country, as well as the renowned Pechanga Resort and Casino. We're only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego's and Los Angeles' attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, wine country is one exit north of us (10-15 minutes) and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite.

No public transportation available, although there is an active Uber / Lyft community serving the area. Other than that, a vehicle is a must.

We've listed Bunny Hill as having a maximum occupancy of 8. Be aware that there are three bedrooms and three beds, each accommodating two guests max, so 7th and 8th guests would be sleeping on one of the pull out coaches. (One in master, and one in living room). Maximum occupancy is 8, please count all members of your party: young, old, and those that are employed by you.
When available, a solution for larger groups that want to stay on the same date is to book another unit here. There are a total of six vacation farmstay rental homes on the farm, and all six can be rented at the same time for a maximum of 30 guests at once. It's our intention that our guests are always delighted with the accommodations we offer and never feel overcrowded.

Wow...this is as tough as a job interview. Who am I? I really enjoy meeting different people, and count myself lucky to get to share this little slice of farming paradise with lots of well traveled guests. A confirmed Foodie, my original interest in growing things was for my own table. So a lot of what we grow here at Morning Song Farm is rare and unusual; dragon fruit, mulberries, macadamias, guavas, loquats, sapote, Carissa plum and kumquats. My shelves are proof of my eclectic tastes, including organic gardening books, mediation, political history, economics and numerous cheese making books which has become a focus for about a decade now. I teach it here for those that would like to discover how easy it is to make your own cheese! Just ask.
Aesthetics are important to me, I've worked hard to transform our farm into something beautiful...although it's an ongoing fight against the dark forces of weeds and derelict farm equipment. Friends say staying here is very relaxing, the skies are often filled with stars you can't see in the city, and although city-close, it feels like we're far, far away. I need that solitude, as many of our visitors will attest to, it's restorative.
Only 10 miles from the Pacific as the crow flies, Morning Song Farm is moderated by the ocean's breezes that flow up from the canyon we're located on. Oceanside is the closest beach, and is at least 30 minutes away as there is no direct highway from our farm to the coast. We're surrounded by Environmentally Protected land through which cars aren't allowed access.

Right in the center of Wine Country, guests are surrounded by winery and brewery options. The trail head to Southern California's only year-round flowing river (Santa Margarita) is a short drive away in Fallbrook, and offers a mostly flat hike along its banks for guests of all ages. From February through July, Kenny's U-pick Strawberry farm is a local favorite, and is just down the road. And most days, balloon rides are available in nearby Temecula. People from all over Southern California make a day of visiting the family-friendly Rainbow Oaks Restaurant, and for a romantic evening out, a short distance further is Cork Fire Restaurant on the grounds of the Temecula Creek Inn. Pala Mesa Golf Course is a short drive as well, and offers a nice menu and occasional entertainment. Call ahead for their schedule.
