Getaways at Heartland mean that you can enjoy time at the lake, take in the fantastic sunsets, play on the art pieces, and take nature walks through the surrounding fields.
Note that the lake is a reservoir and is at its lowest water levels September - November. Swimming is still possible, but the walk to the swimmable area of the lake is farther. During this time, the bottom of the lake offers remarkable hikes, and within a 15-minute drive away there is a really scenic clear water swimming hole with a tire swing.
We also recommend a day trip to the famous Yuba river, which is approx. one hour away.
