This uniquely designed cluster of cottages is halfway between Los Olivos and Santa Ynez, California, and can accommodate 12 guests. It has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms distributed between three accommodations: the main cottage, the guest cottage, and the casita.
In the main cottage, the master bedroom has a California king-size bed, a fireplace, a flat-screen television, and an en-suite bathroom, which features a bathtub/shower and a dual sink/vanity. The guest bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom featuring a claw foot soaking tub.
The guest cottage’s bedroom has a queen-size bed, a queen-size sleeper sofa, a flat-screen television, and a kitchenette, and its bathroom has a shower. The casita has a queen-size canopy bed, a twin-size daybed with a twin-size trundle, a flat-screen television with Apple TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is also a powder room in the main cottage. Linens, towels, and high-quality toiletries are provided.
In the main cottage, guests will find an eating area with a fireplace, a formal dining room with adobe walls, a family room with leather sofas and a fireplace, and a sitting room with a large flat-screen television. In the guest cottage, they will find a dining table and a sitting area that features yet another fireplace.
The fully equipped kitchen in the main cottage comes with a commercial Wolf range, a Viking oven and microwave, a Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer, a crock pot, a blender, a mixer, a toaster, a coffee maker, and an espresso machine. The guest cottage’s kitchenette features a retro-style oven and stove.
Other amenities include air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, DirecTV, a DVD collection, a washer and dryer, an iron with an ironing board, and board games. Outside, guests will find a pool, lounge chairs, patio umbrellas, a gas grill, a wood-burning pizza oven, an outdoor dining table that seats eight, an outdoor bistro table that seats four, a collection of four bicycles, and a gated driveway with a covered carport.

During their stay, guests can visit more than 50 vineyards and wine tasting rooms in the Santa Ynez Valley. They can also dine at gourmet restaurants, such as Trattoria Grappolo, featuring locally sourced wines and ingredients. In addition to grapes, a variety of crops, apples, and olives are grown in the region, and guests can purchase the local produce from roadside apple and vegetable stands.
Guests seeking outdoor recreation will not be disappointed. They can go hiking at Los Padres National Forest, bicycling in the Valley, and kayaking, canoeing, fishing, cruising, and bald eagle watching at Lake Cachuma. The area also contains many opportunities for shopping at antique stores, perusing art galleries, and visiting tourist attractions, including the Carriage Museum and the Maverick Saloon, which is one of California’s only surviving saloons still in operation, offering live music and an atmosphere that transports guests back into the old West.
At the cottage site itself, guests can swim in the pool; kick back in the lounge chairs; watch entertainment on the televisions via DirecTV, Apple TV, and DVD player; gather around the fireplace; dine outside al fresco-style; fire up the grill or the pizza oven; play board games; and take the bikes for a ride.
