Idyllic Dome-Shaped Tree House Nestled in Woods near Malibu, California
"An amazing stay for my wife’s 29th birthday. Ciel is an outstanding host. She is extremely detailed and makes sure that you have all the information …"
This idyllic dome-shaped tree house nestled in the woods near Malibu has private decks for guests to spend time enjoying nature on. Guests can snuggle on the two-person bed for hours and peer through the skylight above to watch the moon and stars slowly passing by. On chillier days, cozying up by the indoor or outdoor fireplaces is a lovely way to while away the afternoon.
With European-influenced decorations throughout, it'll be hard to find a tree house with a more comfy and interesting atmosphere than this one. The deck outside has magical twinkling lights and seating to allow guests to enjoy everything the surrounding wilderness has to offer. There is one bathroom, essential toiletries, Wi-Fi, and breakfast included.
The host would like guests to note that this property is not suited for senior adults nor people with physical disabilities, as there are several steps around the retreat. For further details, guests can speak to the host.
Glampers can feel like they escaped to Italy without their passport when staying at this glamping site. Enjoy the bottle of chilled organic Italian Frizzante that sits waiting in a large ice bucket from the Hotel Da Ville in France. Moving on to the kitchen, guests can take in the warm delicious aroma of homemade scones and freshly prepared organic granola for breakfast the next morning. Glampers can even sink into a 19th-century clawfoot bathtub filled with lavender bubbles and steaming water, including plenty of soft white towels and lovely soaps.
Imagine having an outdoor massage on a heated massage table, set out on an expansive bridge over a bubbling creek and under the trees with the sounds of nature—or a five-course private dinner custom prepared by the site's chef on the bridge under hundreds of little lights, candles, everywhere, and the stars and the moon above. A fireplace by the table is stocked with wood and roaring, and in the distance, owls can be heard hooting as guests clink their glasses and toast to each other.

RULES FOR STAYING AT THE CHIANTI LIFE RETREAT DURING COVID-19: Please read our pandemic rules below and sign & date at the bottom. Thank you for keeping everyone safe!! To NOTE: The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can be spread by those who show no symptoms, but when others get it the virus can have tragic consequences, 1: You enter knowing the risks associated with being in public during the Covid-19 pandemic. 2: Social distancing rules still apply. 3: You are required to wear a mask here at the Retreat and anywhere around Ciel or any of her staff here at the retreat. We do not have Plexiglas divider shields here so be vigilant about your masks and any other protection to help Ciel and everyone here at The Chianti Life Retreat. 4: If you have any recent Covid-19 exposure risks or symptoms, including a recent loss in the sense of smell or taste, you must not book your nights at The Chianti Life Retreat. All of us, those that stayed prior to your visit, yourselves, and those that will stay here after your visit, must be protected. If we all do our part, we can get through this and stay well and healthy. 5: There is no escaping the fact that we are touching things and exhaling on each other and leaving our potentially infectious aerosols and droplets behind, so please, please be vigilant, bring your hand sanitizers and aerosol sanitizing sprays for your area and wear your protective masks. 6: I will be preparing your breakfast as always for your arrival. The difference now due to COVID-19 is that I will not be “refreshing”…in other words, there will be enough in your fridge for 2 mornings but I will not be bringing more over. So please be aware of this and bring what you need with you and put it in the fridge when you arrive. 7: The fresh flowers in every room that have been a signature mark of The Chianti Life Retreat up until COVID-19, will not be available until we know it is safe to order and receive the flowers. We are very disappointed in this because doing the flowers for my guests has always given me, personally, great pleasure, and for our guests stay, the flowers brighten every room with their presence. We hope to be able to restart this in the fall. Thank you!! We want you to have a safe and happy vacation here at The Chianti Life Retreat.
