***This guest house is on a 1,000 acre ranch. You will have to drive (2 min) or hike(10 min) to the area where the livestock, flower farm, and farm store are located!

Escape to High Hope Ranch, a peaceful 1,000-acre sanctuary at the top of the Texas Hill Country in Glen Rose. Whether you’re here to unwind in nature or enjoy unique ranch experiences, there’s something for everyone.

Explore over 20 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, visit with friendly goats and pigs, and take in the wide-open views and quiet charm of this working ranch. During your stay, you can also:

Play a round on our brand-new 9-hole disc golf course, Warbler Trails, designed to wind through the scenic landscape. Don’t have discs? No problem — we have them available at the Farm Store.

Stroll through our seasonal You Pick 'Em Flower Garden, bursting with colorful blooms all summer long. Guests are welcome to cut their own fresh bouquet to enjoy during their stay or take home.

Visit the Farm Store (by appointment) for handmade ranch goods, including tallow skincare, pickles, teas, and more.

Whether you prefer peaceful mornings on the porch, trail adventures, or hands-on ranch fun, High Hope Ranch offers a truly one-of-a-kind Texas getaway.

The doors will be open with keys hanging by the door upon arrival.

contactless self check in unless otherwise requested.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to message us, otherwise we leave you to enjoy your privacy!

Huruma is an incorporated part of High Hope Ranch- a 1200 acre ranch protected by Living Lands Trust. Protected wildlife, biodynamic agriculture and livestock, and miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding await!

Huruma is located right next door to Monarch Meadows event center. When you pull into the drive, huruma is the brick house located on the LEFT of the Y!

If bringing a dog to the ranch, please keep on leash during your stay!

Livestock (including cattle, chickens, pigs, goats, ranch dogs Rosie and Popeye, and the guard donkey, Zoey) roam the ranch. We ask kindly that you not approach the cattle or chickens, but the rest are all very keen on head scratches and pets! The dogs may jump or bark at first but are friendly and will return to their duties after brief hello. Do not play fetch with Popeye with a stick, PLEASE! He always gets hurt. just ignore him and he'll move along!

Chances are you'll see deer, armadillos, and lots of wild birds. We sometimes see other native wildlife like such as quail, turkey, coyote, feral hogs, foxes, and bobcats. There have been some rare sightings of mountain lions in the past but as long as you are aware and prepared it’s nothing to worry about.

Lastly, we are in the Texas hill country where rattle snakes and copperheads live. They are easy to avoid as long as you are aware. If spotted up by a house, please contact the host so that we can safely remove them for you! Scenic Ranch Retreat with Hiking, Disc Golf & Wildlife in Texas
