Set near Glen Rose, Texas, this cliffside cabin is set on a working ranch and offers two bedrooms and three bathrooms and can sleep up to eight guests. The upstairs deck catches great cross breezes, overlooks the cliffs, and faces west.
Guests will have one queen-size bed, one trundle bed made up of two singles, and two sets of bunk beds. There are two half bathrooms and one full bathroom. This cabin offers an open floor plan, and there are only four inside doors: two to the bathrooms, one to the kid’s bedroom, and one to the screened-in porch.
The upstairs, with the queen-size and trundle beds in the open loft, has a half-bath, opens onto the deck, and looks out onto the downstairs living area, with no doors! The full bath with a walk-in shower room has all of the closets (so no need to lug your bags upstairs!) and a laundry room. High-speed internet is available.
The well-equipped kitchen includes plenty of pots and pans, dishes, tea, and coffee, as well as cleaning supplies, paper towels, and plastic bags. Please note that there is no dishwasher. Outside, guests will find a gas grill (propane included) and a screened-in porch with seating.
Guests here will have all the amenities they would find at home and more. This property offers several different types of accommodations and all differ in size and facilities. Each house has a washer and dryer.
While the hosts do have fire pits, they are often under burn bans due to our remote location, and having Fossil Rim Wildlife Center as the downwind neighbor! Please inquire about the use of fire pits during your stay. There is plenty of parking, even for boats and campers! (Please let us know if you are planning on bringing a camper/RV/Boat/large trailer)

At this property, guests will be less than two hours away from most any part of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and 1.5 hours from Waco. Detailed directions are provided to renters.

The hosts provide passes to the local swimming pool at Oakdale Park. Oakdale Park is proud to have one of the largest swimming pools in the state of Texas called “The Plunge” — a quaint place in which guests will return to year over year.
It area home to unique shops, several dining options, museums, galleries, and parks. The hosts keep a notebook with information on local restaurants, shops, and attractions.
Across the River from the town square in Glen Rose is the Paluxy Heritage Park. A final resting place for several historic dwellings from an earlier time in Somervell County, there is a log home, an early stone home, an early schoolhouse, and several other historic structures. Paluxy Heritage Park is a great place for guests to relax, or enjoy the river walk.
