Stunning A-Frame: Walk to Lake, HOT TUB, Foosball
Just a short walk from Lake Texoma, ‘A-Frame of Mind’ offers outdoor enthusiasts a gorgeous retreat that's fully updated with lots of designer touches. Boasting 2 KAYAKS, a neighborhood BOAT RAMP, and plenty of parking, this 3-bedroom/2-bath cabin, is a lakeside treasure. Hike the on-site trails surrounding the lake or play FOOSBALL. After fun-filled days on the lake boating & enjoying the islands' sandy beaches, relax in the HOT TUB, hang out by the fire or play yard games with your loved ones. This cozy cabin will definitely feel like your home away from home!

This adorable A-frame cabin has been fully remodeled. The floorplan has “extended” wings allowing elevated ceilings and an open concept. We love nothing more than sharing this place and welcoming guests here to our slice of heaven!

Hey, there! Tiffany here. Brent and I met in high school in Richardson. We started dating in college and got married in 1995. We have 2 adult kids who grew up at both my parents’ lake houses. When we became empty nesters, we knew we wanted to find a lake house of our own. Once we started our search, we immediately discovered we wanted to call Lake Texoma home. It's the perfect place for world-class striped bass fishing (Brent’s favorite), kayaking (my favorite) and hiking or floating (our kids’ favorite). And spying wildlife, roasting s’mores around the fire and stargazing are all of our favorites!!

We love exploring Lake Texoma and the surrounding area. It’s always exciting to find someplace new in a familiar area. Our love of exploration extends to traveling, and we try to visit new places each year. We especially love visiting the Texas Hill Country, Europe, the beach (any beach!!), National Parks and historic cities.

This is our family getaway, as well, so please take care of it as if it were your own. We are excited to share it others and hope you have a wonderful time and make lots of joyful memories as we have.
Guests will have access to the entire cabin and property (with the exception of locked, owners’ closets). The door entry code is the last 4 digits of the booking guest's phone number. The code will be activated upon check-in at 4:00 and immediately upon checkout at 11:00.

Since we aren’t there in person, during your stay you will be in great hands with our local Property Manager, David. He lives in the neighborhood and will be available to handle all of your needs. His phone number will be in the Guest Manual which is sent after you book the property. This manual has TONS of info to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible.
We fell in love with this 1970s A-Frame the moment we saw it. And then once we saw the privacy in the backyard and walked through the woods to the lake overlook, we were sold! This cozy cabin needed a little TLC and designer touches before we were ready to welcome guests. You can check out the renovations on our social media pages. Once completed, 'A-Frame Of Mind' was ready to provide guests with a comfortable stay and a home away from home.
WHERE YOU'LL BE

Lake Texoma is one of the largest reservoirs in the US. It's on the TX-OK border about 60mi north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Lake Texoma offers recreational opportunities including wildlife refuges, marinas, & outdoor adventures. It's a phenomenal lake for fishing, hiking, biking, & recreational boating. Sailing, personal watercraft, water skiing, & wind surfing are all popular. Lake Texoma is known as the “Striper Capital of the World”, one of the few reservoirs in the nation where striped bass reproduce naturally. There are plenty of other fish to catch including bass and catfish.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Our cabin is located in Cambridge Shores, the treasure south of Treasure Island and is on the Texas side of the lake. It's a friendly and quiet neighborhood, nestled in the woods. The property backs up to the Corp of Engineers wooded property surrounding the lake and is a short 5-min walk to the lake overlook.

There is community lake access with picnic tables and ample daytime parking. There's also a boat ramp ($10/day cash). You can rent a boat at Highport Marina, a few minutes away, to explore all the lake has to offer.

GETTING THERE

If you aren’t bringing your groceries, we suggest you purchase them on your way at Brookshire’s (11205 N. State Hwy 298 in Pottsboro), about an 8-min drive. Don't forget firewood and starters.

As you drive to the neighborhood, the road gets hillier. It’s definitely a wonderful experience driving through the country when headed to the lake! Look for the blue Cambridge Shores sign to turn in. The road in the neighborhood is paved but is bumpy. There is a significant elevation change to our cabin. If there is winter weather, 4-wheel drive vehicles often still have issues getting out of the neighborhood. Winter weather is not covered under the cancellation refund policy. Therefore, we recommend travel insurance. There is ample parking at the house with space for 5 cars and a boat or 6 vehicles.
