Enchanting Vacation Rental in Sedona with a Spa and Pool
Truly unique places to stay in Arizona: getaways in nature
This fabulous vacation rental in Sedona is the perfect nature retreat. Romantic getaways in Arizona at this exquisite site will be unforgettable and the modern, independent apartment is luxuriously finished. Stylish maple flooring, a well-appointed kitchen, and two private decks are a few of the unique features while guests have a plush king bed to ensure a great night's sleep. All linens and towels are provided and there's a bathroom with all the essentials.
During their restorative stay in Arizona, guests can enjoy a unique full spa experience, a hot tub, a steam room, a dry sauna (new), and a saltwater swimming pool as well as over 15 hiking trails with direct access from the property. This is one of a handful of historic buildings in Sedona and was designed by Bob McIntyre who also architected the famous Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Center and other unique buildings in Sedona. When guests look closely at the adobe brick walls, they will notice how they curve, a hallmark of McIntyre’s style and something that very few would replicate today.
In addition to having a very unique architecture, the Arizona vacation home has a strong and unusual lineage of owners. Originally built by Platt Cline (the Flagstaff newspaper editor after whom NAU’s Cline library was named), the home was lovingly owned by Ann Miller, a Hollywood actress in the 1940’ and then by the Wrigley family. The hosts feel honored to be the stewards of this historic property in Sedona and while they modernize they are constantly ensuring that they continue to respect the beauty of the architecture and the legacy that the previous owners left for them.
The hosts even offer several great extras including Reiki, massages, and wine tasting sessions (see the activities section for more details).

Huib is a trained and highly experienced Myofascial Release Therapist. Myofascial Release is a hands-on modality that works deeply within the fascia system to release physical and emotional restrictions that cause tension and pain in the body. Most people do not experience an optimal life due to physical or emotional trauma, poor posture, injury, scar tissue, and many other life stressing events. Myofascial Release unlocks restrictions and brings back physical and emotional alignment by going deep into the connective tissue and releasing pain and trauma at the cellular memory level. Huib charges $150 per hour, 90 minute sessions are recommended to experience full benefit.
Iona on the other hand is a certified Advanced Reiki Practitioner and whenever home (she travels a lot) is happy to do a one-hour session, which includes a short guided meditation to ground and bring each client into presence. Reiki is a Japanese energy medicine technique that induces a state of deep relaxation that activates the body's natural healing powers. It is a gentle hands-on technique where the Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit conveying the universal life force energy to the client. It is based on the ancient understanding that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words, "Rei" and "ki". "Rei" means spiritual or universal and "ki" means the life force. The meaning thus becomes "The Universal Life Force Energy". Iona charges $120 for 60 minutes.
The owners also host wine tasting evenings in their main house on Thursdays and by request. Huib was trained as a Master of Wine and has worked in several Michelin Star restaurants as the head sommelier in Holland. He graduated, youngest in his class, from the Wine Academy in Holland and has a deep love and appreciation of fine wine.
The hosts also offer a candlelit tasting in the main house and have the fireplace going in the colder months. The focus is high-end New and Old World wines accompanied by wonderful Mediterranean appetizers. It’s a fun and educational experience. The price is $175 per person, includes a two-to-three-hour tasting with up to ten wines and wonderful appetizers.
