The cottage is close to many parks and ranches, where guests can ride horses and herd cattle. The cottage is also conveniently located near shopping centers, movie theaters, and fitness centers where guests can play tennis or do yoga.
Guests can visit Coronado National Forest, roughly an hour and a half away from Tucson. Guests can go hiking, cycling, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing. Though the park is mostly desert, there are still pristine lakes and rushing rivers where guests can fish and ride boats. In the winter, guests can go skiing and snowboarding down the Santa Catalina Mountains.
Those looking for adventure on the water can try canoeing, kayaking, and rafting along the Rillito River, or head up into the Santa Catalina Mountains for hiking, rock climbing, and rappelling. There are more opportunities for hiking, biking, and viewing wildlife at Saguaro National Park.
Additionally, guests can spend the day at the Sonoran Desert National Monument outside of Phoenix. Guests can hike, view wildlife, and ride horses or ATVs through the unique Sonoran Desert, featuring miles of red-rock canyons and saguaro cactus fields.
