Known as the gateway to the Grand Canyon National Park, Williams is a fantastic weekend getaway destination for nature enthusiasts. Glampers can embark on a Jeep adventure at 9 a.m. and spend the day touring Route 66, the Grand Canyon Caverns, and Diamond Creek Road, which leads to the Colorado River. An alternative tour is for glampers to board a historic steam train with the Grand Canyon Railway and take a trip to the South Rim. For something different, the Colorado River is great for the thrill seekers and offers whitewater rafting tours, as well as pontoon cruises, so that glampers can take in the surrounding majestic beauty.
Additionally, the historic Route 66 is a must-visit when staying in Williams. With retro-style boutiques and diners, restaurants dating back to the 1900s, and Pete’s Route 66 Gas Station Museum, glampers will be in absolute awe. Local flavors and aromas fill the vibrant streets of Williams and create a unique ambiance, attracting glampers year-round.
