There are numerous hiking and horseback riding trails in the national parks and preserves to the east of the property. In the Santa Fe National Forest, there are hundreds of miles of dirt paths that are perfect for 4-wheeling and ATV's. Fishing is also available, as there are three stocked fishing spots nearby; Rio Las Vacas, Clear Creek, and Gregorio Lake. Additionally, in the area, there are a few ancient Pueblo ruins, including the Guadalupe Ruins and the Rattlesnake Ridge Ruins.
