This waterfront vacation rental is located on Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island of Hawaii and features a private kayak launch. It can sleep four guests comfortably. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second bedroom has a full-size bed. Both bathrooms contain a sink, a shower, and a toilet. Linens and towels are provided.

In the living room, guests will find plenty of comfortable seating on which they can enjoy some downtime with a good book, favorite TV show or a movie. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a stove, and an oven. Small appliances include a microwave, a toaster, and a coffee maker. All dishes and utensils are provided. The dining area has a small table that can seat four. Alternatively, there is a breakfast bar with four stools.

Other amenities include Wi-fi and a washer and dryer.

Outside, there is a spacious sun deck that overlooks the bay. Guests can grill up dinner on the barbecue and then enjoy their meal at the outdoor dining table with seating for six. There is on-site parking available. Kayaks are readily accessible for guests' use. A private launch sets guests afloat into Kealakekua Bay.

There are three Kealakekua bay rentals. The main home is 2,400 square feet and is divided into two private rentals, one upstairs and one downstairs. There is also a separate detached cottage. Guests can rent individual units or the property as a whole. Each unit is self-contained and comes equipped with Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a DVD player, and a telephone. Guests will also have the convenience of a washer and dryer. All linens and towels are provided.

Outdoor areas range from sun decks and lanais to patios and gardens, all offering fantastic views. Guests can grill a meal on their barbecue and then enjoy dinner outside at the dining tables. Kayaks are available for use and are shared between all three rentals. There are four double man kayaks and a single kayak. Kayaks can be launched directly into the bay from the private launch, and life jackets are provided. There is also a hot tub available for guests to use. Parking is available on-site.

This stunning property is situated on Kealakekua Bay near the town of Captain Cook on the Big Island, Hawaii. It is on the west side of the island in the Kona District and is bordered to the north by Kakekua and to the south by Honaunau-Napoopoo. The town was named after the British Explorer, Captain James Cook, a naval captain and navigator who explored the seaways in the 1700's. The Captain Cook Monument was made to honor his life and, ultimately his death, in Kealakekua Bay itself. Kona is most widely known for its award-winning, gourmet coffee bean production and is recognized at the Kona Coffee Living History Farm. St. Benedicts Painted Church is a famous Roman Catholic Church located in South Kona. Keauhou Bay and Honaunau Bay are popular snorkeling sites that are home to manta rays and green sea turtles respectively.

Guests can enjoy direct access to Kealakekua Bay where they can launch a kayak, paddle out and explore this fantastic bay. It is not uncommon to see spinner dolphins and also whales breaching during the winter months. The bay is also ideal for snorkeling. Deep sea fishing, rafting, sailing, and whale watching are other ways to spend time on the water. A stroll through the Kona Coffee Living History Farm will provide insight into Kona's coffee pioneers dating back to the early 20th century. Visitors can walk through the coffee and macadamia nut orchards, tour the historic farmhouse, and visit the donkey and chickens.

In the town of Captain Cook, there are a few popular restaurants, in addition to a farmers market offering local produce and art. The Captain Cook Monument is a famous landmark on the island and is only accessible by hiking, kayaking or boat tour. Beachcombing, shelling and bird watching are options for a leisurely day or perhaps a scenic drive to do some sightseeing and take pictures would be a memorable experience.
