Boonville

About 115 miles north of San Francisco, Boonville, California lies in the Anderson Valley. It was a frontier town founded in 1862, and is now interestingly known as the source of the Boontling folk language. As an isolated farming community, this language was spoken among field workers, but is now nearly extinct. Now, Boonville hosts several festivals throughout the year, including the Legendary Boonville Beer Festival and the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival. Glampers can head northwest to Mendocino and go surfing or check out the coastline. Go hiking or biking the Mendocino National Forest, the only one in California without a paved road. There are mountains and canyons to explore, along with wildlife to view. Escape to Boonville, California for a unique and eventful glamping excursion.
