30 minutes away is the Santa Margarita Lake, which has some beautiful areas of natural beauty, hiking trails, and other related activities. Minutes away are numerous hiking trails that wind through the stunning Los Padres National Forest. Glampers are also only about 30 minutes away from the Vista Lago Adventure Park, which has lots of high rope-based activities. Only about 15 minutes away is Avila Beach, which is home to a golf course and hot springs.

At the nearby Santa Margarita Lake, there are more trails to explore and some great picnic areas. This is also a great spot for fishing and boating, and fishing enthusiasts will find trout, catfish, crappie, and bluegill in the lake. They fish from the shore, or they can hire a boat or canoe and try their luck from the water. The nearby Avila Beach is a lovely place to get some sea air. Nearby is the golf course, and there is also the Avila Hot Springs. Their natural, heated pool is available for day visits, and guests can indulge in a massage here, as well.
