Further afield, guests can take a day to explore spiritual Cape Reinga, the Hokianga Harbour, or see the giant Kauri trees in Waipoua Forest. There are two suites in the lodge, each of which boasts tasteful decor with all the comforts of home and little extra touches to welcome guests. This particular accommodation is the one-bedroom suite, which opens to the pool and spa deck, has a private entrance, and is ideal for a couple wanting privacy, peace, and quiet. In the bathrooms, guests will find soft, thirsty towels, fluffy bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries.

Both suites have living rooms with comfortable sofas and armchairs and a flat-screen television with Blu-ray/DVD players, satellite channels, and music systems with iPod docking. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Each suite is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, and plates and cutlery for self-catering. A barbecue is available free of charge for guests, but for guests who don’t want to self-cater or dine out, they can try the property's barbecue platter, complete with salads and dessert, for an additional fee.
