Luggate is at a crossroads of many different and varying landscapes, making it perfect for a glamping getaway. The Clutha River flows through the township, the longest river in the South Island, and it has great fishing as well as some great spots for adventure sports. Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea are to the north, with more great fishing spots as well as plenty of spots for boating, canoeing, and kayaking. The Mount Aspiring National Park is to the north and boasts many fantastic hiking and biking trails in the mountains that feature views of the surrounding landscape, the Tasman Sea, and beyond. In the wintertime, there are many great ski resorts along the Clutha River valley, so guests are encouraged to grab their skis and snowboards and test out the trails on the mountain.
