Also nearby is Milford Sound, a beautiful spot to watch the local wildlife like seals and penguins, or to enjoy the cascading waterfalls. Doubtful Sound is an 8 minute walk to their departure point. Another nearby spot is Routeburn Track, where guests can hike, jog, take photos, and see more waterfalls. The nearby city of Invercargill is a great spot to shop, dine, and sight-see and is less than two hours away.
