This cottage rental is nestled near Papatowai, New Zealand, and accommodates eight guests, making it the perfect retreat for families and friends. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The first bedroom is a twin room with two king single beds, the second bedroom is a triple bedroom and the third and fourth bedrooms are double bedrooms. One room also has an extra single bed available. All the rooms include linens and towels, as well as an electric blanket to keep guests warm during the winter months. In the first bathroom, guests will find a toilet, sink, shower and claw-foot soaker tub. In the second bathroom, guests will find a toilet and combination bathtub and shower.

The well-equipped kitchen comes with a gas hob, microwave, and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is the living room, furnished with comfortable sofas and a reclining chair. There is a heat pump and wood burner to keep the cottage warm and cozy. In addition to laundry, the cottage also comes with central air conditioning and a DVD player. Outside there is a deck with a BBQ and a lovely seating area that overlooks the valley.

Guests have access to a variety of rooms, which feature TV's, electric blankets, and linens. The accommodations come with fully equipped kitchens including appliances such as a dishwasher, microwave and dining tables. BBQ and laundry facilities are also available. The lodge also provides free Wi-Fi and guests will have access to the nearby beach, which is walking distance from the property.

At this charming nature lodge, guests can walk down to the beach where there is a variety of short walking tracks including the Picnic Point, Old Coach, and Kings Rock tracks. The town of Papatowai offers all that a guest might need including, fuel, groceries, liquor, etc. but it should be noted that the stores close at 6 p.m. A popular site to visit is the "Lost Gypsy Gallery", which features nature inspired handmade gizmos and gadgets.

Guests can drive along the Southern Scenic Route, through the famous Florence Hill panorama of Tautuku beach and peninsula, Lake Wilkie, the Trails Tractor historic walk, the Cathedral Trails, and McLean Falls. Guests are also in close proximity to Niagara, Waikawa, and the Curio Bay petrified forest. The location of this property is perfect for those who like to venture through natural coastlines and intriguing sites.

Guests can also take a drive up north crossing the Tahakopa and Maclennan rivers, through Matai and Purakanui Falls, with access to side roads that lead to attractions such as the Jacks Bay Blowhole on the coast. Other local activities include watching penguins, seals and sea lions, as well as surfing, cycling, fishing, white baiting and gathering paua.
