This eco-friendly yurt is located in Cornwall County, England. The tranquil accommodation is tucked away within ancient Cornish stone walls and surrounded by thick woodlands and a running stream. The yurt has canvas walls and its ceiling soars high. Bright colors bring life to the decor, from the Indian silks and throws to the teal wooden dining chairs. It can accommodate up to three guests. There is a cozy double bed and an extra single bed. The bathroom facilities are shared. Linens are provided.
A wood-burning fireplace creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. The dining table seats four. Cooking is possible and easy thanks to a fridge, a stove, a toaster, a tea kettle, a coffeemaker, and general cooking equipment.
Glampers will enjoy an abundance of facilities during their stay. The property is proud to be eco-friendly and strongly encourages the practice of composting. There are multiple compost heaps scattered throughout the grounds, and guests are asked to contribute any uncooked food or peelings. Leftover cooked food, on the other hand, can be fed to the chickens. There are 25 chickens on this site and they provide fresh golden eggs to the guests. The shared toilet facilities are also composts, which is a system that uses little to no water. Non-compostable items may be recycled in labeled bins. A free box of firewood is provided to help glampers keep warm on colder nights.
Linens are provided, however guests should bring their own towels.
Organic, vegetarian food can be purchased on site. A breakfast basket contains warm sourdough, fresh eggs, home-made jam, milk, and butter. There is also the Late Arrival Hamper, with the extra option of local Cornish beer, wine or champagne cider from local Fowey Valley, and Evening Meal Hampers – Italian (fresh pesto or tomato passata meal with salad) or Indian (fresh ingredients & spices for either south Indian dahl or coconut curry. These can all be delivered to the accommodation for an additional fee.
This magnificent glamping site is nestled in its own vibrant valley on the coastline of the Roseland Peninsula of Cornwall in the United Kingdom. The surroundings are breathtaking, including organic apple orchards, vegetable and fruit gardens, streams, ponds, and peaceful woodland. Cornwall is well known for its rugged sandy beaches. Guests will find themselves within a convenient, 30-minute walk from various beaches at Gorran Haven, Vault, Hemmick and Caerhays. Cornwall itself has a distinct cultural identity as it is considered one of the seven Celtic nations, so it is rich with history and waiting to be explored.
Guests will love the balance of tranquility and adventure on this property. Many people stay here with intentions of relaxation and rejuvenation, so meditation and yoga can be excellent outlets in the valley or on the beach. The beaches also offer the options of swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and even just walking. Dog-friendly walking paths surround the accommodation and await guests for a long hike and explore. There are plenty of animals on this property including dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks, all of which the guests are welcome to interact with. The Barley Sheaf Pub is a mere five-minute walk away and is the perfect place to go for a local beer and a good meal. Other recommended attractions include the charming village of Mevagissey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
