This cozy log cabin rental is located in Saugerties, New York, and can accommodate four guests for a getaway to a peaceful, wooded property set along the bank of Esopus Creek. The cabin has two bedrooms and one full bathroom. Guests will find a queen-size bed in the first bedroom and a full-size bed in the second bedroom. Both of the bedrooms feature log wood walls, wood-paneled ceilings, an overhead fan, and carpeted flooring. The first bedroom is also equipped with six under-bed drawers, a single door closet, and a television with a DVD player. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.

The open-plan living room is furnished with a sofa, a wood-burning stove, and a wall-mounted flat-screen television with satellite channels. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a microwave, a toaster, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a coffeemaker, along with a four-person island counter that serves as an indoor dining area. Other amenities include central air conditioning, central heating, and a hairdryer.

Outside, guests will find a wraparound porch with seating and dining furniture, a fire pit, a charcoal barbecue grill, parking spaces for three vehicles, and direct access to Esopus Creek. To help them take advantage of the latter, the cabin also comes with two kayaks, which come with paddles.

With Esopus Creek just footsteps away and two complimentary kayaks coming with the cabin, guests will be all set up to enjoy paddling to their hearts' content. On the creek, guests can also go fishing, jet skiing, and water skiing. For more water-based activities, guests can head to Falling Waters Preserve and Tivoli Bays State Park. At the former, guests can go fishing on the Hudson River, while the marshlands of the latter offer more opportunities for kayaking and canoeing.

Guests can go hiking right in the 40-acre wood that surrounds the cabin. For more natural settings in which to go hiking, guests will have a wealth of options, which include Esopus Bend Nature Preserve, Falling Waters Preserve, Bluestone Wild Forest, Overlook Mountain Wild Forest, Indian Head Wilderness, Tivoli Bays State Park, and Clermont State Park.

Many of the trails in these natural areas can also be used for biking in the summer and for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. For downhill skiing and snowboarding, guests can visit Hunter Mountain Ski Resort.

For shopping and dining, guests will find a variety of options in nearby downtown Saugerties, where they can also attend the HITS equestrian show series. Other activity options include visiting the Woodstock Museum and the Opus 40 stone-sculpture park.
