Guests will be sure to enjoy this rustic 1850s cottage rental situated on 10 acres near Dubuque, Iowa. There are three bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed, one with a double bed, and the last with two twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one is on the first floor and has a shower, a sink, and a toilet, while the second is found upstairs and features a bathtub. Linens and towels are kindly provided.

The cottage has full-size kitchen, so guests can prepare themselves delicious home-cooked food, which can be enjoyed in the lovely dining area. After dinner, guests can relax in the family room and enjoy a game of cards. There is a phone and internet access in case guests need to keep in touch with loved ones back home. Other amenities include air conditioning and heating.

Off the living room, guests will find a porch, which provides a cool, shady view of the surrounding hills. Good dining options can be found in the nearby towns of Elkader, Strawberry Point, and Edgewood. The Wyalusing State Park is within an hour's drive.

The rental features central heating as well as a propane stove in the living room and central air conditioning for the summer months. There is a telephone and internet in the rental.

There are lots of great things to do in northeast Iowa. The town of Elkader also maintains an excellent list of area attractions available for guests to enjoy. Good restaurants can be found in Elkader, Strawberry Point, Edgewood, and elsewhere in the nearby area. Restored by the Clayton County Conservation Board, Motor Mill is a complex of native limestone buildings along the Turkey River and is ideal for daytime strolls and excursions.

Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge is roughly an hour from this glamping site and boasts plenty of opportunities for guests to explore nature and the outdoors. There are a number of state parks in this area including Pikes Peak State Park, Backbone State Park, and Bixby State Park, which are perfect for guests who love the outdoors. Effigy Mounds National Monument is another known attraction in the area.

For those who would like to explore the surrounding areas more, Cedar Rapids is home to museums, gardens and many historic displays.
