An hour's drive will take guests to Waterloo, Iowa, which offers restaurants, shopping, and museums.

Hampton, situated less than 10 minutes from the rental, is a charming small town with a selection of delicious restaurants and grills for glampers to try. The town also boasts the Franklin County Historic Jail and a few grassy parks not far from the main thoroughfare. Beed’s Lake State Park, which includes some walking paths around the shining lake, is located just outside of Hampton. Another body of water called Clear Lake is only 25 minutes further north. The city of Des Moines, Iowa, is about 100 miles away to the south.
