Avon is between Beaver Creek and Vail, two charming mountain towns well known for their popular and luxurious ski resorts. Guests who are avid winter sports fans can travel to either town for ample opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. There are also ice skating rinks and spas for massages and other body treatments.

Guests can kayak or raft down Eagle River, or go fishing, boating, and paddle-boarding on Avon's many pristine lakes, such as Nottingham Lake in Harry A. Nottingham Park.
