This rustic cabin rental with mountain views is located in the gorgeous Gunnison National Forest, Colorado, and can accommodate up to six guests. Perfect for a family with two young children, there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Located upstairs, the master bedroom suite treats guests with a Memory Foam king-size bed, soft carpet flooring, and a desk with views of the land outside. Outside the master bedroom is a sitting area with a pin-tucked sofa and small library with books for curling up with. The master bathroom has a single sink vanity, extra cabinet storage, and a combination shower and bathtub. The second bedroom treats guests to two extra large twin-size beds, both with Memory Foam mattresses, which can be pushed together to make a spacious king-size bed. The second bathroom contains a curtained stand-in shower, a vanity, and a toilet. To accommodate an extra two guests to complete six, there is an additional double-size sleeper sofa and a solarium bedroom downstairs that offers a queen-size bed. All bed linens and towels are provided for guests.

Making it perfect for a casual mountain getaway, this rustic cabin features pine walls with large windows and exposed beams. The central living area offers a lounge and a dining area. The lounge area offers a cozy seating area with a queen-sleeper sofa and two recliners, which all face a 55-inch flat-screen Samsung Smart HDTV where the family can gather around to watch a favorite movie. There is even a wood-burning stove in the corner for keeping the cabin nice and toasty on chilly nights.

A second living area, located in the basement, offers a full-size sleeper sofa and a TV with a DVD player. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with all necessary appliances, including a microwave, a dishwasher, a toaster, a teakettle, and a coffeemaker. There is also a butcher block for preparing, and the cabinets are fully stocked with cookware, dishware, and glassware. Back in the central living area, there is a table that seats six guests for breakfasts and dinners. Other amenities include a washer and dryer located in the second bathroom. There is also central heating, Wi-Fi internet, and cable TV.

Outside the front door is a covered porch, complete with a swing where guests can sit with a coffee and enjoy the scenery. There is a grassy lawn surrounded by a rock facade in front of the cabin with a gravel driveway that offers plenty of parking. Outside the central main level, there is a spacious deck with several picnic tables where guests can sit and eat outside. The grounds feature shaded areas and offer a trickling stream. There is also a coffee table and chairs on the lawn for guests to take their morning coffee and listen to the chirping birds.

This three-level cabin offers numerous amenities to make guests comfortable. While there is Wi-Fi internet, guests will find that they can become entirely unplugged and unreachable, should they choose. There is, however, a landline for local calls. For entertainment, there are two TVs, which both have DirectTV cable satellite, Blue-Ray players with DVDs, and streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon, and Pandora.

Outside, guests will find a lovely lawn and garden area where they can play a game of croquet, bocce ball, or giant Jenga with the whole family on a sunny day. There is even a Charbroil gas grill for hamburgers or freshly-caught fish. Guests will also have access to a fire pit, complete with firewood, where the family can gather around for a bonfire and roast s'mores in the evening after supper.

This area of Colorado has no shortage of activities. Visitors can take a drive up to Gold Creek Campground Road, where they offer everything from hiking, 4-wheel driving through the forest, and access to Fossil Ridge Wilderness. In winter months, there are peaceful snowy trails for snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing. For ski-lovers, there is the Monarch Ski Resort and the Crested Butte Ski Resort, both with discount ski rental packages available through Gene Taylors Sporting Goods in Gunnison.

This part of Colorado offers lots of history for visitors to step back in time. There are gold mines and deserted ghost towns scattered across the once-called Gold Brick Mining District. Nearby Gold Creek, which runs through the property, and Quartz Creek, both offer fishing access. There are also numerous clear lakes within a short driving distance, where visitors can go swimming and paddling.
