Exposed stone and 300-year-old chestnut siding from a house built circa 1724 adorn shelves and miscellaneous other decor. Sunset and water views from the west upstairs porch, or a private look over the woods from the east porch, add to the charm of this historic special place. Take a walk to the water, in the woods, or on trails across the street. Close to town and many other nearby amenities. 30 - 45 minutes to the Goodspeed Opera House, Gillette Castle, Casinos, New Haven, Middletown, Mystic Seaport, and Aquarium are just a few. Shorter drives to charming towns like Deep River, Chester, Essex, Guilford, and more. Hammonasset Park in Madison is a 15 minute drive. Chatfield Hollow in Killingworth is 10 minutes away. Whether you just stay here and enjoy the peace, serenity, and nature or take a little stroll around, this special place is in the hub of it all.
