Corvallis

The bustling city of Corvallis is located in Benton County in central western Oregon, right on the banks of the Willamette River. It is the home of Oregon State University, as well as being the county seat of Benton. Corvallis also has at least 47 parks adjacent to the city limits and is recognized as a ‘Tree City USA’. Nearby parks and natural areas include McDonald-Dunn Forest, Beazell Memorial County Forest, and Corvallis Watershed Wild Animal Refuge - all within easy reach of the city by car. Its position on the river makes it an ideal spot for water sports, including stand-up paddleboarding, river rafting, tubing, kayaking, and canoeing. Those willing to take an hour’s drive can visit Salem, Oregon’s state capital, or be at the Pacific Ocean for a day at the beach.
