Located only 40 minutes from Fort Worth, the accommodation is on a 350-acre working cattle ranch on the banks of Texas’s longest river, the mighty Brazos. This glamping rental is over 50 years old, but it has been updated for guests' comfort. It has beds for eight, and then there are three luxurious roll-aways in the barn. The ranch is located between the charming towns of Weatherford and Granbury and is just minutes from each town. What's more? This property was even featured on the Travel Channel for "8 Irresistible Sleepovers for Adults."

Relax on the grandfather's porch on a hill overlooking part of the ranch, or walk the leisurely 15-minute (two-minute drive) down to the river. The hosts have kayaks there for guests' use (and inner tubes during the summer), as well as seating for those who want to relax and listen to the multiple sets of rapids. Grill up a steak; relax in the hammock; or enjoy a cocktail over at the barn, with its 3,000-square-foot second-floor room, where the panes have no windows, which allows the breeze to dance through the 100-year-old structure.

Visit and feed the animals at "The Barnyard" petting zoo. Pick your own fresh eggs at the Hen House.

*NEW* Get creative at the Painted Rock Station and visit the Petrified Wood Lab!

There are many miles of virgin hiking trails and easy walks; there are outdoor games like horseshoes, croquet, frisbees, a fire pit, porch sitting, bird watching, and three ponds for fishing. The ranch also has the only known Fairy Forest in the region, where glampers can build a fairy house out of natural elements. (This keeps the fairies coming back!)

The rapids are the perfect place to sit and relax in the chair chairs provided with a favorite beverage, fish, or kayak with the four kayaks and several tubes that have been provided. Glampers should also bring their mountain bikes as the area is perfect to spend the day exploring.

Guests are sure to see deer, wild turkeys, birds of all kinds, and other wild things in the area. After grilling a favorite dish, don’t miss the western sky as it comes alive with a million twinkling stars while the coyotes and owls serenade guests.
