Outdoor Skills: This program is suitable for all ages, and it’s the perfect opportunity to improve lots of different outdoor skills, specifically those related to fundamentals, ethics and safety rules of archery, shooting sports, fly fishing and basic horsemanship. The glamping site will provide you with all of the equipment for each activity, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like. Archery and guns will be locked in the site’s storage facility when they are not being used on the supervised range. The dates for this program are as follows: June 17-20, July 1-4, July 22-25, July 29-August 1, and August 12-15.
Horsemanship: This program is the perfect opportunity to learn about what it means to own a horse. There is an introduction to basic horsemanship that begins with a meet and greet where you’ll be introduced to your horse. You’ll then go on to learn about proper saddling techniques and have a small riding lesson with an expert instructor. Throughout the program, you’ll learn things about basic horse care and feeding, and perhaps the highlight of the trip are the various trail rides you’ll take with your horse and the scenic views you’ll take in. The dates for the horsemanship program are as follows: June 24-27, July 8-11, and August 6-9.
Cowgirl Boot Camp: This program is for girls only, ages 12 and above, and in August it’s only for adults. When you arrive to the glamping site, you’ll be introduced to your horse, who will be with you for the whole program. You’ll then receive some basic instruction on saddling and horsemanship, and then you’ll take off for an amazing trail ride. You’ll also receive instruction on roping, goat tying and barrels, and then later you’ll learn about ranching and get some cutting horse training. After all of this, you’ll participate on a special rodeo designed by the site. The dates for this program are as follows: July 15-18 and August 19-22.
Guided Fishing: This glamping site also offers guided fishing trips for everyone from beginners to experienced fly fishers. You’ll be fishing with an expert guide on the site’s well-stocked private lakes, and if you don’t want to bring equipment, you can use the site’s fishing gear. This is the perfect program for any age and a great idea for your next family outing. All fishing at this site is catch and release with barbless hooks. The price of the guided fishing trips depends on the number of people you’ll be with and the time of day at which you go. When you inquire about this glamping site, be sure to specify if you’d like a full day or half day.
