This secluded cabin retreat is located near Wellington, New Zealand and resides on an island nature reserve. The cabin can accommodate up to four guests. When guests walk inside, they will feel immediately welcomed by a comfortable and warm cabin lined with native timber. The cabin can be configured to accommodate anywhere from one single bed to two sets of bunk beds. Guests should contact host with desired sleeping arrangements. There is a shared toilet and shower facility located nearby for the glamper's convenience. Linens and towels are provided.
Outside, guests can find a large private porch to soak up the unique views that only a handful have seen from this island. Relax and enjoy the sounds of diverse bird species on one of the oldest nature reserves in the world—and it can all be experienced right outside your cabin's doors! This unique glamping spot offers many native bird tours and kiwi wildlife experiences. One is the overnight Kiwi spotting tour which occurs within the most profound population of Little Spotted Kiwi to be found on the globe. This property is located about five kilometers off the west coast of the North Island in New Zealand. The closest town is just an hours drive north to Wellington, New Zealand from where the ferry leaves the main island. This spectacular glamping site resides on a peaceful island all of its own that is 10 kilometers long and two kilometers wide. The island itself is a nature reserve, meaning human influence is kept at a bare minimum, guaranteeing incredible bird and plant diversity throughout the island. A 15-minute ferry ride brings glampers to Paraparaumu Beach. This beach is quite spectacular, boasting mountains ranges in the distance, native coastal plants, and bright blue water.
Take a drive into Wellington, New Zealand for attractions such as wine tasting in the renowned Martinborough wine region, touring the spots where the trilogy 'The Lord of the Rings' was filmed, and enjoy locally made craft beer from the Garage Project. The Wellington Zoo is also a popular spot with attractions such as red pandas, lions, and a great gift shop.
