Set on a peaceful, 400-acre sheep and cattle farm, this cottage rental is located in Taumarunui, North Island, and can accommodate five guests to the scenic countryside of the King Country region of the Ruapehu district. It has one bedroom and one full bathroom. In the bedroom, guests will find a queen-size bed flanked by nightstands with bedside lamps. The bathroom is fitted with a sink, a toilet, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.
In the living/dining room, guests will find a divan, a sofa bed, a table for two, and French doors leading outside. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, a stereo, and a library of books. Guests may go swimming in the river, and they can pick fruit from the food forest when it is in season.

Outside, they will find a deck with an umbrellaed table for two and 400 acres of farmland to explore. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities right on and around the cottage's property; they can go swimming in the river that runs through it, go golfing at the Taumarunui Golf Club right across the road, and go canoeing on the Wanganui River. Farther afield, they can go skiing at the Whakapapa Ski Area and the Tuaroa Ski Field, cycling on the Timber Trail, hiking at Tongariro Crossing, scenic railcart riding on the Forgotten World Rail Trail.
For the enjoyment of nature and wildlife viewing, guests can head to Pureora Forest Park and Tongariro National Park, where they can see rainforests filled with 1,000-year-old podocarp trees, active volcanoes, boiling mud pools, and a variety of wildlife, including brown kiwis and blue ducks
