This fabulous Akaroa accommodation is perfect for South Island holidays. The retreat can sleep three guests as there is one bunk bed and one single bed. Guests also have a nice deck to watch birds swooping from branch to branch.

Guests will find a shower and toilet block just a few steps away from the rental as well as a fully equipped communal kitchen and living room. The kitchen includes two electric stoves, two fridges, an electric jug, a toaster, a microwave, and plenty of cooking and eating utensils.

During their stay in South Island, guests will be able to spend the night in the middle of a penguin colony with rare breeds of sheep and safe swimming beaches all around.

Note that to access the bay you will need a 4WD vehicle as the road is steep, narrow, made of gravel and sometimes close to the edge feeling like a one-way lane. Truly unique places to stay near Christchurch
