This private, wooded bed and breakfast is situated on the edge of Children’s Bay in the charming village of Akaroa, which belongs to the westernmost peninsula of northern New Zealand. The property is covered in rose gardens, azaleas, citrus and apple trees, which belong to carefully curated gardens that spread over three acres of land. Nearby Akaroa is a small, historic seafaring town built around the harbor, where guests can visit the Akaroa Lighthouse and heritage sites like the Banks Peninsula War Memorial and Grounds. The area is also home to the beautiful Hinewai Reserve, which boasts a network of meandering hiking and walking paths that encircle the bays. The city of Christchurch, New Zealand is just under an hour and a half from the accommodation.
