About this place

This remote tiny house is nestled in native bush with sea views in Little Akaloa, Akaroa, South Island, New Zealand, and can accommodate two guests. It is situated on a coastal sheep farm and olive grove with plenty of walking and hiking opportunities. Akaroa is only a 25-minute drive from the property and is surrounded by beautiful remote bays that make for wonderful day trips.

The studio-style tiny house boasts a cozy queen-size bed with luxurious crisp bed linen. In the bathroom, there is a toilet, a sink, and a large shower. Linens and towels are provided. There is also a fully-equipped kitchenette with a mini-fridge, a sink, and a stovetop. Please note the walk up to the Nook from the carpark is about 5 minutes but it is uphill. So carry gear in backpacks!

Outside, there is a large deck with a barbecue and comfortable outdoor furniture. There is also a large cedar hot tub, which will be warm and ready for use upon arrival. Guests will find the beach at walking distance away, with the aforementioned Akaroa and the larger city of Christchurch both easily accessible, as well.

Guests staying at this modern glamping property will enjoy electricity, a water supply, and a waste connection. The rental has a unique drawbridge deck, along with a barbecue and patio furniture. Nestled in native bush, the rental is within easy distance of the ocean and Christchurch, New Zealand.

This remote rental is in close proximity to both Little Akaloa Bay and Pigeon Bay, where glampers can go kayaking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, paddle boarding, and surfing -- with the world class Raupo Bay just a 10 minute walk away. Walking or biking along the coast is another great way to enjoy the jaw-dropping natural scenery.

The Pigeon Bay walkway is no more than a 15 minute drive to the start and boasts some amazing coastal views. Akaroa is just 25 minutes away with world class restaurants, bars, shopping, dolphin and whale tours. There is a fantastic little movie theater which is worth a visit on a rainy day. The Akaroa museum embraces real local history. Okains Bay is also 20 minutes away and has a local museum with many Maori artifacts. There is an 18 hole golf course in Duvauchelle, located in a beautiful rural setting, guests will enjoy a visit here.
