One detail that makes this location special is not only that it is a remote farm but that it is also not far at all from landscapes that stand in complete contrast to it. The area is a convenient 30-minute drive from the Otago coast and the town of Oamaru, where countless unique attractions await visitors. Among these, the Oamaru Penguin Colony, the Oamaru Public Gardens, the Steampunk Headquarters and the Victorian precinct all stand out. Just near here, glampers can reach numerous rugged beaches, enchanting coves, and cliff-side shores where the easily-identifiable yellow-eyed penguin may be spotted. Moeraki Boulders are just 45 minutes away by car and are an almost extraterrestrial picture of perfect rock spheres strewn along the beach. There is no doubt as to why this strange landscape will have inspired Maori legends. The closest international airport, Dunedin International Airport, is 140 kilometers away.

A trip to the coast can offer seaside trails that lead to penguin viewpoints, well worthwhile for animal lovers. Glampers can also visit a number of attractions in Oamaru.
