This breathtaking beachfront cottage is located on a private sandy beach near Golden Bay, in the Nelson Tasman region of New Zealand. The cottage is designed as a luxury accommodation for two guests, however, there is a sofa in the living room which can accommodate a third person if necessary. There is one bedroom and one full luxurious bathroom. The bedroom has a split king bed, which can be made as a king or two single beds. The bedroom faces out to sea through bi-fold windows and has a luxurious mattress topper for the highest level of comfort. The floors throughout the cottage are solid Eucalyptus and the Lawson Cyprus ceilings have exposed Douglas Fir rafters, all of these materials are plantation grown and have avoided the use of native timbers for environmental purposes.

In the stylish bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a large two-person 18-jet hydro-therapy spa bath, with shower over bath, under-floor heating, heated towel rail, hairdryer and locally produced artisan toiletries. High-quality linens, bathrobes, beach towels and Egyptian cotton bath towels are provided.

In the living room, guests will find a spacious area with open plan living and dining room, a comfortable sofa, armchair, coffee table, flat-screen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station, perfect for a day spent indoors.

The chef of the party will love the fully equipped kitchen which comes with a four-burner gas stove full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender and all cutlery, glassware, and utensils. Milk, a selection of teas, and freshly ground organic, fair trade coffee are provided and replenished daily for guests to enjoy. Breakfast hampers of either English or continental breakfast are available daily to set guests up for the day.

Other amenities include Wi-Fi and at least 200 meters of private lawn at the front the cottage for privacy. The cottage has no side windows and the deck is screened to ensure a peaceful haven.

Outside, there is a courtyard and deck, with hooded Weber BBQ grill for al fresco dining. There is quality wooden outdoor dining furniture, sun umbrella and sun loungers, and lawn space at the front of the cottage.

The amazing Abel Tasman National Park is to the South, and the Kahurangi National Park is to the North, both within less than an hours drive. Other areas of interest include Pupu springs, nearby Caves, Farewell spit; which is the longest natural sandbar in the world, and Heaphy track, a four-to-six day hike that traverses a large part of Kahurangi National Park.

The property is approximately one hour and forty-five minutes from Nelson, fifteen minutes North of the town of Takaka and eight minutes from the small town of Collingwood. The property is situated in a tranquil garden, overlooking the sheltered waters of the bay, where it is safe for swimming at both low and high tide.

Pupu Springs is a short walk and is a stunning freshwater fall, the largest in New Zealand. An underwater observation window offers spectacular viewing of the incredibly clear waters and brightly colored plant life.
