This incredible yoga retreat is based near the town of Takaka, 2000 feet above sea level, in an area known as Bird’s Clearing in the northwest of New Zealand’s South Island. The retreat boasts phenomenal views of Golden Bay and is surrounded by native beech forest while less than a mile away from the western border of the spectacular Abel Tasman National Park, making it the perfect location for an unforgettable yoga retreat.

Guests will be provided with a daily schedule that includes a wide variety of yoga practices as well as the opportunity to help the hosts run the retreat. The hosts offer Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Raja Yoga, Yoga Nidra, meditation, and mouna. There are also ancient fire rituals to participate in and guests are invited to help out with cooking, gardening, chopping wood, and building.
