The downtown area, which has several shops and restaurants, is about 10 minutes away. There are also several surrounding natural areas where glampers can spend their time hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Sentinel Range Wilderness Area is nearly 15 minutes away, while Giant Mountain Wilderness is about 45 minutes away. Taylor Pond, Mirror Lake, and East Lake, which are great places to practice water sports, are all within 40 minutes of the property. In the winter, glampers can make their way to Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, which is nearly 20 minutes away.

In the warmer months of the year, nature enthusiasts can hike or bike Cascade Mountain and sit down to have a lovely picnic lunch before heading to the heart of Lake Placid to the Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum. Guests can also explore Owl Head Mountain with the family and pick blueberries as they admire the local flora and fauna. Keen fishermen can cast their lines in AuSable River, while watersports lovers can head to St. Regis Wilderness Area to go kayaking and canoeing. In the winter, guests can head to Whiteface Mountain where they can spend their time skiing and snowboarding down the white powdery slopes. Glampers can also make their way to Mt. Van Hoevenberg Olympic Cross Country Ski Center where they will be able to explore various trails and make their way through the snow-covered terrain before heading back to the property to sip on hot cocoa.
