Glampers can meander around their very own 4-acre estate and explore the rolling hills, endless hiking trails, farmland, forests, and fields. The yurt is conveniently located in its very own countryside where guests are free to explore as they please. Located 10 minutes to the center of the Village of Waterville, known for its family of outlaws in the mid 19th century. Just down the road from Route 20 and 12, it is only 10 miles to the Village of Hamilton, upstate New York, home of Colgate Univeristy. The Charles E. Baker State Forest is a 30-minute drive and is home to multiple outdoor recreations. Also to the south is the Beaver Creek State Forest and the Brookfield Rail Road State Forest, both are a pleasant 10-minute drive to perfect locations to breathe in the crisp mountain air.

There are multiple chances for canoeing and fishing throughout the estate, especially at Sangerfield River in the NIne Mile Swamp. At the Charles E. Baker State Forest (one of the largest portions of public lands New York has to offer at 9,424 acres) guests can do any number of outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, skiing, snowmobiling, or more tranquil activities like birdwatching, and photography.
In the South lies the Beaver Creek State Forest and the Brookfield Rail Road State Forest that is also home to any number of outdoor excursions. The Village of Waterville, birth place of George Eastman-founder of the Kodak Comapny, has a number of small shops for souvenir seekers. The estate is located near the Nine Mile Swamp, where the outlaws of the Legendary Loomis Gang had their homestead. This family of outlaws terrorized the American countryside and grew to be one of the largest family gangs in America throughout the 19th century. Guests can learn more about this piece of history and provides a great background for a few ghost stories.
