This stylish tree house is tucked away at 10,000 feet above sea level in a remote corner of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Colorado, providing up to four guests with a truly secluded and off-grid getaway. There is a large sofa which can be converted into a bed for two, and an air mattress for another two guests. There is a compost toilet with waste bags provided, which must be taken away upon check out. There are no showers, and no bedding or linens provided.

In the living area, guests will find a large sectional sofa in front of the wood-burning stove, a perfect place to sit together with some evening cocktails. From here, guests will also enjoy the most incredible views through the modern tree house windows. For food preparation, a two-burner propane camping stove is provided, as well as propane and some basic pots, pans, and utensils for four people.

Outside the modern tree house, the Trex deck offers spectacular views! There's nothing better than taking a morning coffee out here to enjoy in the fresh air while taking in the sumptuous surroundings. There are camp chairs for guests to kick back in, and a fire table to gather around at night. Guests can expect a wonderful stay in one of the best tree houses in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Guests should be aware that at 10,000 feet above sea level, it's quite common to experience shortness of breath during physical exertion and guests may also experience altitude sickness. Guests should expect to spend around 30 minutes setting things up, as the host doesn't live on site when guests are here, and guests will also have to carry their things uphill from their car for about 50 feet to the treehouse and climb a 10-foot ladder.

There are neighbors nearby, but none are visible from the property, making the treehouse extremely secluded and a perfect spot to get away from it all. During autumn, visitors will be able to see all the amazing colors of the tree line. Day trips include Great Sand Dunes National Park, Zapata Falls, Mountain Home Reservoir, Sand Dunes Recreation Pool.
