Located on the Colorado Plains just outside the town of Gardner, this cabin rental is perfect for groups looking to unwind in the wilderness of Huerfano County. Sitting at the bottom of the Apache Ridge, the cabin rental comes with breathtaking views of the plains, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and the Green Mountains, while being miles away from the nearest property.

The interior of the cabin has been built using wood panel walls and flooring while the exterior features wood plank walls and a stunning wrap-around deck. The cabin rental can sleep up to twelve guests over its two floors and five bedrooms with one room featuring a king-size bed, two coming with queen-size beds, the fourth features a double and the fifth includes two single beds. The bedrooms are spacious and rustic with plenty of storage facilities provided as well as large windows that look out towards the snow-capped mountains and Colorado plains.

The beautifully constructed kitchen has been built to accommodate large groups of guests and features wooden surfacing and an array of kitchen equipment. The breakfast bar is a great spot to have a morning coffee while the dining table can sit all twelve guests with incredible mountain views. The living area includes leather seating for chilling out in front of the television and the championship-size pool table is the perfect way to socialize in the evening with a couple of beers while the rain falls outside.

Outside, guests can enjoy barbecue meals from the grill on 700 acres of exclusive hunting grounds that are inhabited by elk, deer, bear, and coyote.

The property comes with a superb, elevated wooden decking with a table and chairs where guests can look out towards the plains and enjoy a barbecue meal from the grill or a few cold ones in the evening. Inside, guests can challenge their friends and family to a game at the pool table or sit and relax in front of the television with a DVD. The wood stove fireplace comes with free firewood, and it keeps the cabin warm and comfortable during the winter months.

Guests can explore the hiking and walking trails along the Apache Ridge as well as the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Green Mountains all of which come with magnificent views of the plains below. Muddy Creek offers visitors the chance to take a kayak onto the water and meander through the Colorado wilderness or fish for a variety of trout that is stocked in the river. The spectacular Lathrop Sate Park can be reached in less than an hour by car where guests can get involved in canoeing, swimming, and horseback riding or just take in the picturesque views along miles of walking trails.

The area is very popular for hunting with over 700 acres of exclusive hunting grounds available to guests. Over-the-counter elk tags and archery tags are available for purchase in Gardner. The land is inhabited by elk, deer, bear and coyote.
