This cabin rental is situated just steps away from the shore of the Kenai River in the town of Sterling, Alaska, and is surrounded by stunning natural beauty with easy access to wilderness trails and world-class fishing spots. The cabin is modern and spacious while sleeping up to five guests making it the ideal getaway destination for families, friends, or groups of people looking to fish for salmon and trout.

There are two bedrooms with one featuring a queen-size bed and one coming with a bunk bed that includes a queen-size bed and a twin on top. The entire cabin has been beautifully designed with varnished wooden flooring and wood panel walls as well as large windows throughout that allow for great views and lots of natural light. The main room has a large living area with leather seating where guests can relax after a day on the river in front of a cozy wood-burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen has been fitted with a granite surface as well as modern appliances including an oven, stove, microwave, and a freezer especially to store the day’s catch. The dining table sits beside the large windows that offer great views of the Kenai River with seating for four guests and ample space for the freshly caught meals. The fishing cabin has one bathroom that features a spacious walk-in shower, a hand basin, and a toilet.

Outside, guests can celebrate the day’s fishing sitting around the firepit with a few cold ones under the stars ending the day in style.

The waterfront cabin features a hand-hewn veranda that comes with magnificent views of the Kenai River and the front doors are just steps away from the shore. Guests can enjoy a morning coffee in the fresh air on the deck seating or cook up a barbecue meal from the grill and end the day in style. There is a firepit just outside the cabin where guests can warm up under the stars and there is a wood-burning stove in the living that keeps the cabin cozy all year round.

The Kenai River is renowned for its world-class fishing and guests will be able to fish from the banks just steps away from the cabin. The river is abundant with giant king salmon, sockeye salmon, and rainbow trout and guests can enjoy guided or unguided fishing that can be organized by the hosts. Glampers can take a kayak, canoe, or raft and follow the meandering river past breathtaking views of the peninsula while keeping an eye out for some Alaska’s most precious wildlife.

Guided tours of the peninsula’s cliffs, glaciers, and granite walls offer a unique opportunity to explore the landscape and the deep waters that are home to otters, seals, and whales. Hiking and biking trails, from leisurely to challenging, can be found in the Chugach National Forest and the glorious Kachemak Bay State Park.
