This nature lodge is set in the beautiful New Zealand countryside on an 80-acre farm and it is extremely close to Gisborne, and the coast. The proximity to the coast gives guests access to numerous ocean-based activities. It is also a fantastic area for cultural activities as there is an abundance of museums and opportunities for wine tasting. Slightly further afield, there is Te Urewera which is an area of forests and rugged hills with numerous walking trails.

There is plenty to do at the lodge itself. For $95 US guests can take part in a unique nature tour of the grounds. Glampers will be allowed to meet and feed the animals that call this amazing place home. There are benign mud volcanoes, a lake, and a trip up to the historic Maori Pa Site Whaitiripapa Pa, which leads on to historic Maori gardens. The tour ends with the hosts delicious, homemade finger food and a taste of local wines.

For some offsite adventures, guests can head to the coast and have a go at some surfing. For beginners, there are numerous reputable surf schools. Only 40 minutes drive away is Rere Falls. There are some stunning waterfalls in this area of natural beauty and it offers guests a perfect spot to enjoy the wildlife of New Zealand.

There are also nearby museums with local history and places to enjoy wine tasting. Whether guests want an action-packed vacation or a cultured getaway, this nature lodge opens the door to both.
