In Lake Placid, glampers will be able to find outdoor adventures to be had no matter the season, as well, including going for a stroll around Mirror Lake; getting in the water with a kayak or canoe or going fishing; cross-country skiing, skating, and even extreme tobogganing; hiking one of the area's 46 High Peaks; and so much more.
Perhaps less spoken of—but certainly no less exciting—is the Ausable Chasm, which is often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks," and is truly a sight to be seen. At the Ausable Chasm, they will be able to take a tour, but also get their blood pumping by going cliff hiking, mountain biking, and river rafting.
Come summertime, or when weather permits, guests can also go swimming at Lake Wilmington, which is just eight miles from the rental. Other must-sees include the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehab Center, which includes a wolf sanctuary, and the many Olympic sites around the Adirondack region. For more suggestions, the hosts are always available via text, email, or phone call both before and during guests' stay and happy to give local recommendations. They have tons of information to share and love doing so!
