This charming cabin getaway is situated near Lake Placid, New York, and can accommodate up to 16 guests. There are four bedrooms, each featuring two sets of twin-size bunk beds. Guests will have access to separate men's and women's bathrooms with a toilet, a shower, and a sink. Pillows are provided on each bunk bed, but linens and towels are not.
The spacious living area has several couches and plenty of chairs to accommodate a large group of guests. The kitchen is equipped with everything guests might need to feel at home, including a stove and oven, a microwave, and a refrigerator and freezer. Outside, guests will find a scenic communal picnic area with a fire pit, as well as easy access to an abundance of nature trails.
Guests will be able to immerse themselves in natural beauty while still enjoying modern conveniences such as an equipped kitchen and bathroom facilities. The property has an outside picnic area with a cozy fire pit, easy access to numerous hiking trails, and access to Heart Lake. Guests are able to use the facilities in the High Peaks Information Center, which includes a retail shop and equipment rental.

Surrounded by the majestic Adirondack region and its spectacular mountain landscape, guests will have a multitude of options for outdoor recreation and adventure. Hundreds of miles of marked wilderness trails and New York’s highest peaks are within easy reach of the property. Guests can explore by hiking, paddling, or cycling through the scenic landscape. The region's numerous lakes and hundreds of miles streams and rivers are ideal for fishing, boating, and paddling. At the property, guests can head to Heart Lake for a beach day with options for canoes, kayaks, and paddleboard rentals.
In colder months, the area is transformed into a winter wonderland ideal for snow sports. Miles of backcountry trails offer endless exploring for backcountry skiing and snowshoeing. Nearby Nordic centers provide miles of groomed trails for cross-country skiing and Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, one of the top-ranked ski resorts in the Northeast, is only a 20-minute drive. Other popular wintertime activities include ice skating on the nearby Olympic Oval, ice climbing, and ice fishing on nearby lakes. Guests visiting in the fall can catch observe the breathtaking Adirondack foliage.
The area is home a number of Olympic venues including the Olympic Jumping Complex and the Lake Placid Bobsled Experience. Other options include Adirondack-themed mini-golf courses, the Adirondack Experience Zip Line, disc golf, and horseback riding. High Falls Gorge is another great option featuring multiple waterfalls and glass walkways.
Adults will have plenty of options for playtime nearby as well, including a flourishing craft brewery scene. Those seeking a little retail therapy will have a plethora of options along main street Lake Placid. The Adirondacks are steeped in history and offer a number of museums to discover, such as the John Brown Farm, The Wild Center, and the Adirondack Museum.
