WEATHER - We are located in Dry Valley. You will not find this on any map or weather app. Monticello, UT is the closest town with weather service and sits at 7000 feet above sea level. Moab, UT is the second town worth looking at but sits at 4000 feet. The campground sits at 6000 feet. Typically we are 3-5 degrees warmer than Monticello and 6-10 degrees cooler than Moab. But rules are meant to break...

WIFI - Strong Wifi is available around the communal spaces and office. Do not count on service reaching your tent. We do not have outlets to power laptops and you will be using the picnic tables as workspaces. If you would like to use the Wifi, please ask us for the password when you arrive.

SAUNA – 1-hour Complementary session each night of your stay. Four, 1-hour time slots are available starting at 4 pm with 15 mins in between for cleaning. If interested, please sign up for your slot at the office.

WATER - Please bring your own drinking water. We do have water at the glampsite but this is water to run the bathroom and kitchen. We do not have unlimited water and haul 200 gallons of water per day to the glampsite, we ask everyone is water-smart.

FIRES - The only fires allowed on the glampsite are campfires. No smoking of any kind is allowed. However, we do allow smoking in the parking lot or in your vehicle. Butts must be completely out and not left on the ground. If seen, you will be asked to put it out and penalties will apply.
CANDLES - Candles are strictly prohibited in tents. We provide LED candles and string lights to provide the same coziness while keeping safety and odor in mind.
CAMPFIRE - We sell firewood on-site for $6.00. You may also bring your own. We DO NOT provide lighters.
*If there is a county fire band, no fires will be allowed. You may reach out to ask if there is one.

PETS – DOGS ONLY, no cats. No dogs are allowed in any of our tents. Our new Sugarloaf Pod does allow for up to 2 dogs. You must be with your dog(s) at all times, they CANNOT be left alone, they must be on a leash, be well-behaved, and have no yappers. We have the right to ask you to control your dog(s) or find other accommodations. We want to maintain a good experience for all our guests. You will be asked to sign a waiver upon check-in.
The Sugarloaf Pod has a dog bed, food and water bowls, poop bags, and more.
IMPORTANT! We have 2 dogs and chickens that roam the property freely. They will come and say hi. If your dog(s) will not like this, finding other accommodations may be best for everyone.

HEATING/COOLING – Each tent has a small portable heater but you will need to bring 1lb propane tank. We do sell them for $9.00 each if you do not bring any with you. 1 tank lasts 2 hours on high or 5 hours on low. There is no AC but we do provide small fans in the summer (June-Aug).

COMPLEMENTARY COFFEE/TEA DELIVERY – Curve Coffee Roasters in Moab are the beans we use to brew your morning coffee. A french press is left at your door around 7 am daily. Tea or hot cocoa is available for non-coffee drinkers.
HOW TO ORDER – A chalkboard menu board is located by the office. Please mark "C" for coffee or "T" for tea/hot cocoa on the order board.

When up at the top of our hill amongst the sagebrush you are fine to walk off the path. Easy and 1/4 mile.

TOURS/ACTIVITIES – We are always on the lookout for local activities and tours. Please find our current offerings on our website or on our tour board upon arrival.
TUBES – These are available June-Aug. There are 3 lakes in the Abajo Mountains and 1 large Reservoir in Blanding, all within a 30 min drive. Tubes are available at no cost. Paddleboards are available at $20/per day per board. Just ask us if you would like to borrow them. *Limited supply.
SUNDAY MORNING YOGA - Starting April 16th, we will be offering yoga classes at 8 am for an additional fee.
BICYCLE RENTALS - Coming late Spring or early Summer.

MERCHANDISE – Take home a little reminder of your time here. We have items available at the office or on our website.

SUGGESTED PACKING ITEMS – Slippers, warm socks, and beanies as desert nights are chilly. Check our Visitor Guide on our website for more suggestions.

WILD ANIMALS - There is something wondrous about hearing coyotes howl at night. Glamping, like camping, is all about being outside and enjoying the outdoors. In addition to coyotes, some of the other desert friends we have are prairie dogs, spiders, mice, snakes, rabbits, deer, mountain lions, scorpions, antelope, birds, bears, big horn sheep, and cows.

Stargazing - Bring a telescope if you have one as the night sky is one of the best features of this property! No obstructions so you will have clear views of the brilliant sky. We recommend downloading The SkyView Lite app and The Moon app. This will help you determine a full night of stars or the moon cycle (weather permitting).
There is usually highway noise but around 11 pm, it slows down.

We are Keshia and Erik and we own Glamping Canyonlands. We live and run our business here so you will see us delivering coffee, cleaning, building, or relaxing here. Our place is rustic and simple at the moment. We are a new business that opened in October 2020) and as we grow, we will be improving. We will always be working on the property to improve your experience. Most of our guests don't need us (other than having a great conversation) but we are never far away!

We look forward to your stay with us!

Thank you for choosing us to stay with,
Erik and Keshia Joot
